And if it's PDFs causing a problem, get the latest Acrobat Reader from Adobe.

Connotea provides an online reference management tool, operated by a link in your Faborites toolbar. One click captures the bibliographic details from the PDF or Web Page on screen, and can be shared, exported and edited in various standard formats.

Zamzar is an online file conversion service - convert a GIF to a JPG, a PDF to a Word doc, a Flash file to a wmv. Simple, effective and free, no download, no sign up (unless you want advanced features).

DropSend is a drag and drop desktop tool that lets you send files up to 1Gb, and store large files online for backup or access by others. Free and priced options depending on volume of files.
